February 23rd 2019 update new quilts
Suden gave out toys, quilts and warm hats to each child.

Brian's nephew, Evan and his friend Joshua painted the play structure.

Rick and Brian made 3 more barrel bookcases - 1 for each teacher
The boys brought goodies for the kids and their teachers they were a big hit.

February 8th 2019 update repairs
Today was another busy day. Brian has his friend Rick here from Aylmer Quebec so they were installing guards on the front of our teacher's bookcases so that items would not fly off the shelves during earth tremors. At the same time we continued to wash toys and repack them while an art teacher tried out a new project
with one of the classes. Our new volunteer brought some much needed small shoes which we gave out
and two others started painting the buildings

February 7th 2019 update
WE were up at the centre a couple of days ago when there was quite a big earth tremor.
The building shook for nearly 2 minutes and things fell,down off the shelves. Luckily, we got all the kids,out safely. But we saw the need to put little wood slats on the fronts of the bookcase shelves, which will happen tomorrow.
We now have 2 Canadian volunteers here who will work with us to make some repairs and clean toys like Lego and do some art. The bundle of personal cards prepared by Wakefield School kids from Grades 4 to 6
arrived today and will be a big hit. GRACIAS, they are so heartfelt and colorful.
We got more pics of our Saludos kids enjoying Lego and duplo sent from B.C. .
Our teachers are busy working on special Canada DAY bracelets for us to bring back.
