Luc, a volunteer who visited this year donated a swing set which ,as you can see, is a big hit.

We received hats, mitts and scarves from SUDEN for all the kids!

July 17th 2015 update.

Our Panyebar teachers continue to create beautiful jewelry and Christmas ornaments for us to bring home to sell in order to help raise funds for the program. They are doing such a terrific job to provide unique gifts for you to buy at our craft sales.
Knitting needles donated this year were turned over to Paty who then distributed them to very happy mums who could then make hats and scarves.
Sheila demonstrated  to Delores, the director of Panyebar centre, how to use various learning kits on math, time sequencing and word positioning.
These donated kits are such a wonderful addition to the program materials.

Sheila's final before returning to Canada March 10th 2015 update Recycling of used glasses

PLEASE RECYCLE YOUR GLASSES
Heritage College has left after contributing to another successful teacher workshop here.
The  medical information they left on Diabetes was informative and they also left toothbrushes, paste, sunscreen, and other medicines , plus toys, books, clothes and shoes for the kids at the various centres. The special art supplies like the "scratch paper"
I passed out eyeglasses to teachers at the workshop and also in the street to passersby and visited a senior's drop in centre to distribute more. Those receiving glasses were most grateful to be able to read and knit and weave once again. Here are a couple of pictures to enjoy.

March 9th 2015 update finishing projects

The bathrooms are finished and opened at Panyebar thanks to volunteers visiting from Wakefield and some helping mums, teachers and kids from our centre.

Eyeglasses were handed out  at the teacher workshop last week and on the street to people needing them Also many seniors gathered at a seniors drop in centre to pick out much needed eye wear donated from Canada. Those receiving eye glasses were so grateful to be able to see better  to be able to weave, work and read.
